Friends of Chakraviu Nepal is pleased to welcome Rejina Pokharel as its newest member of the Board of Directors.

Rejina brings a combination of scientific expertise, research experience, entrepreneurship, and a strong interest in innovation to the organization. She currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist at Novartis and holds an MSc in Biotechnology from Harvard Extension School. She is also the Founder of N.O.D.E, bringing additional experience in building and developing initiatives focused on innovation and collaboration.

Her appointment strengthens the Board at a time when Friends of Chakraviu Nepal is expanding its efforts to connect people, resources, expertise, and opportunities across the United States and Nepal.

Friends of Chakraviu Nepal is a US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in Virginia to extend the reach of Chakraviu Nepal beyond Nepal’s borders. It serves as an international resource-mobilization and partnership arm, building relationships with individuals, foundations, institutions, professionals, and the Nepali diaspora to support locally led initiatives in Nepal.

The organization supports Chakraviu Nepal’s work across education, research and innovation, sustainability, and climate action. This includes initiatives such as Circular Nepal: Upcycling For Education, which connects textile waste recovery with education, livelihood opportunities, and climate action.

Rejina’s background in science and research, combined with her experience as a founder, adds a valuable perspective to the Board as Friends of Chakraviu Nepal continues to build partnerships and support the development of practical, locally led solutions in Nepal.

We are delighted to welcome Rejina to the Board of Directors and look forward to the ideas, expertise, and perspective she will bring to Friends of Chakraviu Nepal.

Welcome to the Board, Rejina.
